Who I am

Sidney Krandall Silversmithing is a modern continuation of a legacy that began with the original family store, Sidney Krandall & Sons, founded in downtown Detroit. Today, the studio carries that heritage forward through handcrafted jewelry made with antique stones, sterling silver, and time-honored techniques. Based in Tennessee, I attend markets around the Nashville area and travel the world in search of unique stones to incorporate into my work. The fig in my logo is a tribute to my beloved dog, Fig—my constant companion in the studio.

In addition to silversmithing, I love to experiment with other mediums and techniques like beading, engraving, ceramics, and painting, always looking for ways to weave them into my jewelry practice. I’m currently learning to create bereavement pieces and would be honored to meet with anyone interested in commissioning something meaningful. Every piece I make is rooted in family, curiosity, and craftsmanship.
